A flagship program recognizing top enterprises across the province
The Gauteng Business Excellence Awards was developed in close collaboration with regional chambers of commerce to create a transparent and prestigious recognition platform. The program involved defining 12 award categories, assembling an independent judging panel, and managing a multi-stage nomination and evaluation process. Over 200 companies participated in the inaugural year, with a gala ceremony attended by 500+ guests. The initiative significantly raised the profile of local businesses and fostered a culture of excellence across the province.

The Cape Town Arts & Culture Fellowship was created to identify and support emerging artists, musicians, and writers from underserved communities. BurundiAwards managed the entire program lifecycle, from crafting the submission criteria and outreach strategy to coordinating a jury of established creatives. Fellows received a monetary grant, a six-month mentorship, and exposure through a curated exhibition. The program has successfully launched the careers of 15 artists in its first two years, with several participants securing international residencies.

The KwaZulu-Natal Community Leadership Awards was designed to shine a light on individuals and organizations making a tangible difference in rural and peri-urban areas. BurundiAwards facilitated community consultations to ensure the award categories reflected local priorities, such as education access, food security, and youth empowerment. The nomination process was kept simple and accessible, with a strong emphasis on storytelling. The awards ceremony was held in a community hall, creating an intimate and celebratory atmosphere that honored the real heroes of the region.
